Your evidence is not our content.
We collect only what is necessary to make the Receipt you asked for. Starter is designed to work without an account, upload, screenshot, or credential.
Starter stays private while preserving checkout continuity.
The selected categories and answers create the immediate Starter finding locally. When you submit Starter, those same answers create a protected continuation that expires after seven days, so a verified Full Receipt purchase can continue safely after hosted checkout. We do not ask you to upload raw evidence for Starter.
What Starter collects
The categories you select, your current priority, and the short answer you choose for each selected signal. These generate the immediate Starter finding and a protected continuation that expires after seven days, only to reconnect a verified Full Receipt purchase after checkout.
Why we collect it
To make a specific, explainable observation from your submitted signals. It is not used to infer a personality type, creditworthiness, health status, or anything unrelated to the Receipt you requested.
Voluntary image evidence
In the protected paid Full Receipt intake, you may voluntarily attach up to six JPEG, PNG, or WebP screenshots or photos (8 MB each) with a category and optional short label. Images are private supporting evidence and are not automatically read; your category and context label explain how they relate to your life. Do not upload passwords, account numbers, private messages, government IDs, or anything you do not want stored with your Receipt; redact sensitive details first. PDFs, SVGs, HEIC/HEIF, and other documents are not accepted.
Full Receipt retention
A verified Full Receipt stores the Starter selections when available, optional short notes, the generated Receipt, minimal purchase reference data, an optional recovery email, and any voluntary image evidence you attach. Images are private by default: we do not return storage URLs in the product, do not put images in share output, and protect evidence operations with the same paid Receipt access check. The Receipt is retained until you request deletion; individual saved images can be deleted from protected Full intake and are then purged from storage.
Deletion requests
Use the form below or email hello@thereceipt.life with “The Receipt data deletion request” in the subject. The request is recorded for processing. Include only the contact detail used with the product; do not send passwords or sensitive documents.
Sharing
Sharing is off by default. The Starter share preview intentionally excludes your raw answers, categories, values, screenshots, identifying information, and source data. Nothing is shared until you press Share or Copy.
Compare, later
Compare is not currently sold or collecting data. After the one-time Receipt experience is validated, it may compare a later Receipt after roughly 30 days. Any future data handling for Compare will be explained before it is enabled.
Request deletion
This creates a deletion request only. We use your email to find and process the data request; it does not opt you into marketing.
